Growing up, this weekend was always a signal that school was almost out! It was a time for camping and BBQing and in Montana a sign that summer would soon really begin (not just a tease here and there) even though most of these weekends it was snowing LOL. As we all got older it became a 4 day weekend and an excuse to play and for many an excuse to party. Now as this Memorial Day falls upon us it is a time to remember. A time that our family now remembers those we have loved and lost. Living our life we have loved and lost quite a few loved ones...
I remember Josh bringing home this guy..he soon was coming for lunch and JT soon had an Uncle Dave that he treasured and loved as much as his own Dad. Dave was so wonderful to JT and such an awesome friend to Josh. He was an amazing friend and an amazing Uncle to my children. He is one that I will hold close to my heart forever. To this day thinking about loosing him brings tears to my eyes...

Mo was another dear friend. He was one that always made us laugh with his loud and boisterous personality. Oh the memories of days at the park, and balls where from across the room he would say something and everyone could here LOL.

They both were amazing soldiers and were amazing friends to those around them. They lost their lives saving others around them and are true heroes.
This Memorial Day take time to remember those that have lost their lives for our freedoms. It is a time for fun and relaxation, but most importantly a time for reflection and remembrance.
